(Soleas) is a small village built in an amphitheater-like
manner on the banks of a small river named Atsas (hence the name of the
race) in the Nicosia district. It is located approximately 57km away
from Nicosia city centre, 58km away from Limassol, 103km away from
Pafos and 135km from Paralimni.
The Start/Finish Area is located on a picnic area right in the centre of the
village on the banks of river Atsas.
is a large parking area located just minutes away from the Start Area
in an old football pitch. Once you enter the village clear signage will
guide you straight to the parking area.
A full medical
team will be based at the Start/Finish Area consisting of a Doctor, a
Physiotherapist and a Nurse. At key points, along the trail, volunteers
of ETEA will be available and ready to offer medical first aid if
required. A road ambulance will also be located at the Start/Finish Area.
Running drinkable water is available at the Start/Finish. After the race, a charcoal barbecue party for everyone will follow.
Toilets are also located at the Start/Finish Area.
there is no accommodation in Agios Theodoros, but the comsopolitan
village of Kakopetria is just 16minutes away driving where you can find
a number of hotels and guest houses.
